Students understands the basic legal structure of international business. Student is also able to apply fundamental principles of international business. Student is familiar with the legal terminology and is able to communicate with legal experts as well as to seek information on legal aspects in international business. Student will also familiar with the core concepts of international business law and how the business opportunities will be contracted. Course topic areas: Legal framework of international business European Union and it's legal framework International NGO organizations (WTO; ICC, UN and regional trade blocks) organizations International contract law with special emphasis in the contractual aspects in corporations International dispute settlement Special legal problems in foreign business transactions Case law examples

Research path: research process and basic concepts. Features of qualitative research. Nature of qualitative research method and its 'sub-methods', e.g. grounded theory, discourse analysis, and case-study. Collecting the empirical data. How to analyse the empirical data. Content of the research report. Features of quantitative research. Basic statistical concepts. Sampling. Measurement. Descriptive analysis: transformations, tables, graphs. Numerical descriptive measures: measures of central tendency, variation and shape. Statistical relationships: linear correlation, cross tabs and chi-square test.

Course objective: Students are able to produce effective business documents using appropriate genres and styles. They can use standard business document templates and apply the terminology used in most common business documents. Course contents: 1. Formal language for writing business documents (specific to this course) 2. Common business transaction documents (e.g, inquiry letter, reply letter, quotation letter, etc.) 3. Information regarding delivery and payments in business transactions 4. Other business letters
