The student understands the whole formed by the parts of the building and their central functions. - The student knows the options for the outer shell, surfaces and non-load-bearing structures, as well as complementary building parts. - The student understands the most important concepts of fire safety in buildings and the principles of moisture insulation. CAD-part The student: - Understand the principles and tools of CAD design. - Knows the basics of AutoCAD design and can produce, modify and print plans.

Orientation to Construction Engineering (2 ECTS) The student: - Understands what is the building trade and what kind of tasks and skills is required. - Knows the future trends in the field of construction and has a understanding what goals and aspects are important to the process. - Understands the differences of projects and processes.
